Unchained Goals App Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These terms are a legal agreement between you and Unchained For Success Ltd for your use of the Unchained Goals app on iPhone, Android and the web. Please read them before you create an account. By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who we are
Unchained Goals is provided by Unchained For Success Ltd ("UFSL", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17012282, registered office Unit 7 Amber Business Village, Amber Close, Amington, Tamworth, B77 4RP. You can contact us at info@unchainedforsuccess.com for general questions and privacy@unchainedforsuccess.com for anything about your personal data.
The app is built and its servers are run for us by our technology partner, Crevion Commons LLC. Your agreement is with UFSL, not with Crevion Commons, Apple or Google.
2. The app and who may use it
Unchained Goals is a goal execution app built on the Unchained Goals Framework. It helps you define your purpose, vision and goals, test them against the SSMTC criteria, plan and track habits and milestones, reflect on progress, and receive coaching from an AI coach trained on the Framework.
You may use the app only if you are 18 or over. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
You may use the app for your own personal or professional development. If you want to use it to coach or train other people as a paid service, or to deploy it across an organisation, contact us first; that use needs a separate agreement.
3. Your account
You need an account to use the app. You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google.
You agree to:
- give us accurate information and keep it up to date
- keep your password private and not share your account
- tell us at once at info@unchainedforsuccess.com if you think someone else has used your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account unless it results from our failure to keep it secure. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, Account, Delete account) or through our Account and Data Deletion page. Deletion is permanent.
4. Subscriptions, free trial and payment
Plans. Some features of the app need a paid subscription. The plans, prices and what each includes are shown in the app before you buy. Prices include VAT where it applies.
Free trial. New subscribers may be offered a free trial. We will tell you the trial length and the price you will pay afterwards before you start. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and you are charged at the price shown. We will remind you by email before the trial ends.
Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as you chose) until you cancel. The renewal price is the price shown when you subscribed, unless we have told you about a change at least 30 days in advance, in which case you can cancel before the change takes effect.
How you pay. Where you buy decides who takes your payment:
| Where you subscribed | Who bills you | Where to manage or cancel |
|---|---|---|
| iPhone app | Apple, through your Apple Account | Settings, your name, Subscriptions |
| Android app | Google, through Google Play | Play Store, profile icon, Payments and subscriptions |
| Unchained Goals web portal | UFSL, through our payment provider Stripe | Your account area on the Unchained Goals web portal, or email info@unchainedforsuccess.com |
We never see or store your card details. Apple, Google and Stripe handle payment under their own terms.
Price changes. We may change prices for new subscribers at any time. For existing subscribers we will give at least 30 days' notice by email before a change applies to you.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancel where you subscribed (see the table above). Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription: you must also cancel it in your Apple or Google settings, or you will continue to be charged.
Your 14-day right to cancel (web portal purchases). If you subscribe on the Unchained Goals web portal, you have the right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of subscribing and receive a full refund. If you ask us to start the service straight away (which you do by using the paid features during those 14 days), you acknowledge that you will lose the right to cancel once the service has been fully performed, and that if you cancel part way through we may deduct a proportionate amount for the period you have used. To cancel within the 14 days, email info@unchainedforsuccess.com. You can use the model cancellation form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases. Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made through their stores under their own policies. Request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from Google through the Play Store. We cannot refund a purchase we did not take.
Refunds where we are at fault. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If the paid features are not as described or do not work as they should, and we cannot put that right within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a price reduction or a refund for the affected period.

6. Your content
Everything you write or record in the app (your purpose, vision, goals, Why, plans, habits, reflections, journal entries and coach conversations) is your content. You own it.
You give us permission to store, process and display your content so that we can run the app for you, generate your insights and coaching responses, and back it up. We do not use your content to train AI models, to advertise, or for any purpose other than providing the service to you. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups that are overwritten within 7 days.
You are responsible for your content. Do not put into the app anything that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have the right to share. Keep your own copy of anything important; the app is not a substitute for your own records.
7. The AI coach and the limits of what the app does
The AI coach gives automated suggestions generated by an AI model, drawing on the Unchained Goals Framework. It is there to support your own thinking and decisions.
The AI coach is not a person and is not a professional adviser. It does not provide medical, mental health, therapy, crisis, legal, financial, tax or investment advice, and nothing it says should be treated as such. Its responses can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances. Always use your own judgement, and take professional advice where a decision matters.
If you are in distress or at risk, do not rely on the app. Contact your local emergency services, NHS 111, or Samaritans on 116 123 (UK).
The app does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects. Scores, streaks and other measures are calculated from what you enter and are for your information only. Results depend on your effort and circumstances; we do not promise that using the app will achieve any particular outcome.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the app for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass or deceive anyone
- try to access another person's account or data, or to get round any security or usage limit
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile or extract the app, its code, its content or the coaching model, except where the law allows it
- use the app or the AI coach to build a competing product or to train another AI system
- send spam, malware or automated requests, or put unreasonable load on our servers
- resell, rent or sublicense the app or your account
AI usage is included in your plan up to a fair-use limit shown in the app. If you reach it, coaching may pause until your next billing period.
9. Intellectual property
The app, its software, design, text, graphics and the coaching content, together with the Unchained Goals Framework, the SSMTC test, the Goals Readiness Score and the Unchained Goals name and logos, belong to UFSL or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use, for as long as you comply with these terms. You get no other rights. The Framework is taught in UFSL's books and courses; using the app does not give you a licence to teach, publish or commercialise the Framework.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Accountability partners and community
You can invite an accountability partner and join challenges. Your partner sees only your display name and username, the challenges you share, and the encouragement you exchange. They never see your goals, plans, habits, journal, reflections or coach conversations.
Be respectful. We may remove content or suspend accounts that abuse, harass or spam other users. You are responsible for the people you choose to invite, and for what you share with them.
11. Availability, updates and changes to the app
We aim to keep the app available at all times but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control, and will give notice in the app where we can.
We may release updates and may add, change or remove features. If we remove a feature that is a significant part of a paid plan, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance and you may cancel and receive a proportionate refund for the unused period. You should install updates when offered; old versions may stop working.
The app needs an internet connection and a supported device. Your mobile network or internet provider may charge you for data.
12. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to digital content that is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Subject to that, we are not liable for:
- any loss that was not a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms
- any business loss, including lost profit, revenue, contracts or opportunity, if you use the app for business purposes
- decisions you take, or outcomes you do or do not achieve, in reliance on the app or the AI coach
- loss of your content where you have not kept your own copy, except where the loss is caused by our breach of these terms
- the acts or omissions of Apple, Google, Stripe or your device or network provider
If we are liable to you, our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in that period, or £100 if you paid nothing.
13. Ending these terms
You can end these terms at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we withdraw the app, in which case we will give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid period you lose. Sections 6, 9, 12, 17 and any other terms that by their nature should continue will survive the end of these terms.
14. Privacy
How we collect and use your personal data is explained in the Unchained Goals Privacy Policy at https://www.unchainedforsuccess.com/app-privacy-policy, which forms part of these terms. For any question or request about your personal data, email privacy@unchainedforsuccess.com.
15. Terms required by Apple and Google
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following applies:
- These terms are between you and UFSL only, not Apple. UFSL, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price you paid Apple for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses or costs attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are UFSL's responsibility.
- UFSL, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer protection or similar claims.
- UFSL, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your purchase and use are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app, its content or support.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law, in the app, or in how we run it. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel and delete your account before the change applies; continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the new terms. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer laws of where you live, and bring proceedings in the courts there. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you have a problem, please contact us first at info@unchainedforsuccess.com and we will try to resolve it. If we cannot, you may be able to use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform if you live in the EU, or contact your local Citizens Advice in the UK.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to another organisation, but will tell you and your rights will not be affected.
